a Red Hatters’ six night cruise from Melbourne.
Departing on Friday 18th April 2014, the P&O’s Pacific Pearl is sailing to South Australia for the first time.
There is much excitement about the cruise. There are 50 Red Hatters booked and the Adelaide Red hatters are planning to meet the ship when it berths there.
Queen Jennifer, who is coordinating the ladies onboard wishes to advise she wants to suggest the red hatters all disembark at 10am to be greeted by the SA contingent. Apparently, there is free public transport to Glenelg, where there’s an eatery large enough for a big group for lunch.

Tour 2: LAKE BARRINE RAINFOREST CRUISE & HIGH TEA (90 Ladies):
Board your coach at Reef Casino to travel up to the beautiful tablelands through lush tropical scenery with a short tour around historical Yungaburra before arriving for a stop at the recently opened “AVENUE OF HONOUR” – a truly moving memorial to the young men and women who have died serving in Afghanstan – even those lovely dogs whose lives are risked to recognise bombs for disposal. The community of Yungaburra is to be congratulated with this memorial, set midst lawns and overlooking the shores of Lake Tinaroo.

25th July has been selected as a commemoration date
for a nationwide celebration of Red Hatting
for Australian groups.
This date was chosen as it was the date the first Australian group was registered by Queen Florence (Rose City Red Hatters of Warwick QLD) who was first to bring the Red Hat concept of love, laughter and friendship to Aust, receiving her original charter 25th July 2001.
The inaugural celebration in Caloundra by the Red'n Purple Ragers in 2013 proved a great success in Qld so let's all get behind a nationwide acknowledgement and tribute to the many years of celebration, fun and happiness of red hatters around the states.
As a tribute to Supreme Matriarch Florence and on behalf of the ladies of
Red’n Purple Ragers – and all chapters who recognise the feat of this lovely lady – soon to be 98 (June 22nd) and still hosting red hat lunches you are

The Gosford Red Hatters will be celebrating their
10th ANNIVERSARY on Saturday 13th September
Queen Denise is putting an Expression of Interest to all who may like to join
the chapter in this milestone.
A 3 course sit down dinner will be held at the Gosford RSL Club on Saturday evening with great entertainment planned and possibly a Breakfast on the Sunday morning
if people decide to stay over.
The Gosford group held the 2010 NSW convention at this venue which was a great success and this is sure to be another fun activity that could be extended into a weekend.
(They have hosted 3 conventions, all rated amongst “the best fun ever" on each occasion.)
The Gosford RSL has 2 Motels, one on the same site and another just across the road. They are offering a 10% discount for those staying and attending the celebrations.

The Gympie Red Diamond Hatters are holding another fun week-end where
the attendee will be the stars of the show.
The GYMPIE HOLLYWOOD GAGGLE will be held on
SEPTEMBER 12th – 14th

The organisers will take names for a wait list should any of the CELEBRITIES be unable to attend.
3.30pm: The week-end will kick off at the Gympie Sovereign Cinema where attendees can sing and dance to the wonderful karaoke version of MAMMA MIA starring Meryl Streep and Colin Firth with all the enthusiasm known to RED HATTERS. Don’t worry if you don’t know the words they will be on the screen.
Feel free to dress the part as Talent scouts will be out looking for some OSCAR winners.
After the movie take a stroll up to the large function room at the R.S.L. Club to enjoy a meal and get to know one another while Di on the keyboard will play some relaxing music.
The club is open till late should anyone want to party on.
The R.S.L. Club has a courtesy bus leaving regularly should transport be needed back to your accommodation.
8.30am: We start the day with a bus trip to the historic Pomona theatre where morning tea will be served and a short black and white film will be featured before everyone does their own thing; explore the markets, boutiques, op shops cafes etc. (Lunch at own expense).
Arrive back in Gympie by 3.30pm with time to rest before the night festivities.
ACADEMY AWARDS GALA BANQUET - 6.30pm till late.
Time to Walk the RED CARPET with all the glitz and glamour of HOLLYWOOD followed by a fun night of entertainment. We encourage everyone to nominate STARS in their group for some very prestigious OSCAR AWARDS. (Categories to be advised)

Dress: It is preferred that the colours of Red and Purple be worn, but some denim will be accepted!

2pm – 4.30: Registration and nibbles at the Tumbarumba Bowling Club, Winton Street, Tumbarumba. This will give you plenty of time to meet and greet with old and new friends before the dance. Red Hat dress for this event please.
7pm: The Country Dance will be held at the Memorial Hall, Winton Street, Tumbarumba. This location is just a short 2 minute stroll along from the Bowling Club and from the Main Street. You will be treated to a 2 course country style dinner! Following that you can dance the night away in good old fashioned country style. Don’t forget to pack your hat and boots!!
8am – 10am: Join in the Red Hatters pyjama hoot being held again at The Tumbarumba Bowling Club. You will then have time to have a look around the lovely little town before you set off for the journey home.
There will be lucky doors prizes for the dance and merchandise will be available for your purchase at the registration event.
A wonderful photographer will be present at all events and a CD can be purchased with all photos taken. Order forms will be supplied and can be taken to any of the Tumba Belles over the weekend.
Please note there is NO public transport in town and that means NO TAXIS! So you will need your cars!! However the local Community Transport minibus will provide a courtesy bus at, no cost, so you can get to the dance and the breakfast events. You will need to advise the organisers where you are staying. The transport service will only be available within the town limits.

Ex pat Queen Wanda - Liver Birds of Liverpool – is hosting the "Mayhem on the Mersey" event and invites any Aussie Red Hatters in the region - who are members of registered chapters, or Supporting Members of the RHS - to join in the event.
Cost: £229 which includes 3 nights' dinner, bed and breakfast commencing with dinner on the Friday night and finishing with breakfast on the Monday morning, and all evening entertainment which will be provided by the Days Gone By team.
The price is based on 2 sharing a twin room. The single occupancy supplement will be £30.
Convention Registration fee (extra to the above price) will be £10 per person - this is to cover basic admin costs, stationery, welcome pack, etc. and will be payable to the Liver Birds.
