Tour 1.   Pioneer  Valley  & Eungella

9.00 a.m.  Pick up from the MECC

Short town tour then head towards the beautiful Pioneer Valley. 

First stop Country Charm Garden and Gifts - Devonshire Morning Tea will be served.  A little retail shopping.  Then travel through the green landscape to Mirani Op Shop for a little more retail therapy and then off to Eungella on top of the mountain to enjoy the company, view and a refreshment. Lunch will be served at the famous Pinnacle Pub before heading home through the country side where a little surprise awaits you.

Then back to your Hotel by 3.30pm

Cost $75.00 includes bus tour, morning tea and lunch.  Refreshments at Chalet at own cost.


Tour 2.      Hibiscus Coast – Cape Hillsborough  Beach

9.00 a.m.  Pick up from the MECC

Short town tour then head towards the Hibiscus Coast. 

Journey north of Mackay to the Leap and the Yakapari Country Craft   -   Devonshire Morning Tea will be served.  A little retail therapy including the  Sapphire Place next door will also be open. Anyone for a Gem or two?

Then take a leisurely drive through the hilly countryside to tour the small seaside community of Seaforth and then onto the famous Cape Hillsborough beach for a short stop.

Lunch will be served in the magical setting of the Old Train Station Teahouse. Sit back and take in the natural beauty of this tropical hideaway.

Enjoy some more countryside and a little surprise awaits you on the journey back to your Hotel by 3.30pm.

Cost $75.00 tour includes bus, morning tea and lunch. Refreshments at Cape Hillsborough at own cost.


Tour 3.     Town and Harbour

9.00 a.m.   Pick up from the MECC

Start the morning exploring the city of Mackay with its architecturally impressive buildings of which many were re-built after the great cyclone of 1918.  Call into the busy Trinity Op Shop one of the amazing buildings of Mackay for a little retail therapy before partaking of Devonshire Tea at the Botanical Gardens Café.

Off for more sightseeing, crossing the Pioneer River towards the pristine beaches of Shoal Point and Eimeo before stopping for a little more retail therapy at the Bucasia Salvation Army Op Shop.

The Marina awaits you. Lunch will be served at the Yacht Club as you take in the views of the flotilla of water craft.  Travel out and about the Mackay Region on your journey home and a little surprise awaits you before you head back to your Hotel by 3.30pm.

Cost $70.00 includes bus, morning tea and lunch.

If you have but a drop o’ Scotland in your veins, then then this is the convention for you!

The Seaside Sirens of Coastal Otago extend a warm invitation to our sister Hatters to experience Southern hospitality and celebrate the spirit of Red Hatting at the 2020 Convention to be held at landmark heritage Scenic Southern Cross Hotel. Convention limited to 160 participants.


The weekend’s programme also includes functions at several other distinctive heritage locations, all within easy walking distance of one another in the CBD. Suggestions for accommodation options within the area are attached, and rooms are being held pending direct bookings with the hotels by convention attendees.

7.00pm till 10pm        Enjoy our drinks and canapes party at the Plaza at the SeaWorld Theme Park.  

Theme for the evening – ‘Shawls and Sheilas’. 
The Plaza is under cover but open air.  It will be cool, Queensland does have cool nights in winter!  Hence the Shawls.   Be glamorous, outrageous, daring, and/or funky with your shawls, homemade or bought.   Please keep the colours to red and purple

Sunday 16th

This will be a Wacky outfit / hats affair. Colours are more relaxed but hopefully, predominantly  purple and red. There will be Wacky fashion parade and prizes.

8.30am                        Make your way over to the Dolphin Discovery Show in the SeaWorld Theme Park.  FREE!  Plenty of room for everyone.

10am                           Morning tea available in Sea World Convention Centre.

10.30am                      World Renowned motivational speaker, Amanda Gore.   Expect to be delighted, awestruck, tickled and amazed by Amanda who
                                     will help you feel good about yourself and she will discuss how important it is to accept and love yourself, because it underpins
                                     all of your behaviours.

12 noon                       Raffle drawing – beautiful amethyst jewellery

12.30pm                      2 course meal alternate drop.    Cash Bar.

2pm                             Entertainment by The Lovey's. Four very talented eccentric, exciting, hilarious ladies. Superb musicians, brilliantly witty lyrics,
                                    great fun. Totally wonderful!

Enjoy a sumptuous 3 course dinner and enjoy drinks at bar prices.

Catch up on some chatting, renewing of old friendship, plus introducing yourselves to new friends.

There will be raffles throughout the evening, with the major prize: “A free nights’ accommodation”, and of course, a surprise table gift.

Saturday Evening:  CAMELOT GALA NIGHT


Drift back in time to that magical time of Castles, Kings, Queens, and Knights (Maidens) of the Round Table.

Enter the Camelot Castle for the evening and be entertained with music of the era. 

Enjoy a sumptuous 3 course deluxe meal, sip on champagne (at your own expense) and imagine yourself as Guinevere of Camelot.

Adorn yourself with the beautiful gift awaiting at your table.

Dress Medieval (colour of your chose - no restrictions).

The fun will continue throughout the evening with raffles and dancing, this is where we leave the music of Camelot behind and dance to the music of our own era.

There will be an opportunity to have a photo taken in front of the mysterious medieval props.


Sunday 28TH:  TO BE SURE TO BE SURE – Pre St Patricks Day Celebration

8 - 10.30 am    Full buffet breakfast in main dining room.

Queens, Vice Queens, Queen Mum’s, Retired Queens and future Queens are invited to join in for some quick discussions.  Any topic can be discussed. Please have your questions or comments ready and keep it short so that all the ladies have the opportunity to talk.
